The City of Snoqualmie is looking for citizen volunteers to fill vacancies on various boards and commissions.
There are two vacant positions on the Library Board: Position 2 with a term ending March 31, 2011 and Position 4 with a term ending March 31, 2013. Board members serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council and also coordinate with and provide input to the King County Library System board of trustees and local library officials. The board meets at the Snoqualmie Library on the first Wednesday of each quarter.
The Parks Board has one position open with a term ending December 31, 2011. The board meets at Snoqualmie City Hall at least once per month. The Parks Board recommends policy regarding city parks, assists in planning, and participates in Parks & Recreation activities.
The Civil Service Commission has one position open that would serve a six-year term. This five-member commission was created for the administration of civil service for the Snoqualmie Police Department.
