There are 34 public parks, 25 miles of maintained trails, and 540 acres of open space in Snoqualmie. Many of the parks and trails are open for adoption!
The City of Snoqualmie Adopt-A-Park or Trail Program offers the community an opportunity to contribute to the preservation of our natural resources. The program is open to individuals, families, civic organizations, clubs and teams, youth groups, and more.
Adopting a park or trail requires little commitment, but big rewards. The length of adoption is one year and can be extended. Routine activities include picking up litter, weeding, and reporting vandalism. No edging, cutting, pruning, or heavy landscaping is needed or allowed; those activities are managed by the Parks & Recreation Department.
Parks available include all types of neighborhood parks throughout the city, those with play equipment for toddlers and children, parks with picnic tables or shelters, and others. Sections of large parks can be adopted, such as at Centennial Fields, Snoqualmie Point Park, or Community Park. Sections of trails may also be designated for individuals or groups to maintain.
More information is available in the Parks & Recreation Department section of the city website at www.cityofsnoqualmie.org including parks and trail maps, detailed descriptions of Snoqualmie parks, and the Adopt-A-Park or Trail Program application.
